Sailability ACT has it own club house located on the shores of Lake Tuggeranong located to the south of the Canberra City environs and sails between 12 and 4 pm each Sunday during the Canberra sailing season (Sep-April). We also sometimes sail on Lake Ginninderra or Lake Burley Griffin.
If you have half a mind to go sailing, that’s all you need! Sailability ACT welcomes all people without regard to age, ability, gender or socio-economic status as sailors or volunteers. If you have a disability and wish to experience “Freedom on the Water”, you are especially welcome. We have the facilities and resources and will teach you to sail and allow you to broaden your horizons. We welcome family groups and provide a safe, supportive and friendly environment where challenges are met and overcome.
Regular ‘Come-n-Try’ programs aimed at introducing sailing to the members of the Canberra Disability Community are held during the sailing season. Visitors and other interested people are also welcome during our regular sailing sessions.
Sailability ACT is an active member of the community.
An integral part of running our club
Generous sponsorship is simply what keeps us on the water and a big thank you goes out to our current sponsors listed here.
Helping us make events possible
Our events often need that little bit of extra help where our event sponsors really make sure great Sailability events can happen. Contact us today if you would like to help with one of our upcoming events.
